SVO (Calne) Limited is celebrating winning an award for its work with Motability Operations, the business behind the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes for disabled people. The accolade, awarded at the sixth annual Motability Supplier Awards, recognises excellence, efficiency and innovation.
Rob Pithouse accepted the winning award for Adaptation Partner on behalf of SVO, who were highlighted by Motability Operations as one of the businesses supporting the service provided to over half a million Motability customers in the UK. With award wins and commendations ranging from those for individual car dealers and car manufacturers, to specialist businesses that convert cars to make them wheelchair accessible, the awards celebrate the diversity of the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes.

SVO (Calne) Limited was particularly highlighted by the judges who said - "To win the Adaptation Partner award, SVO was recognised by judges for its additional touches to customers such as accommodating requests free of charge where others may seek additional payment, strong reliability records, and the engineering skills of its personnel. A small and specialist business, SVO was praised for finding cost effective solutions and adjustments that really make an adaptation work better for a customer and responsiveness to customers based in the most remote locations."
As well as the award for Adaptation Supplier there was a further 13 awards presented at a business session on 8 July 2011. In addition to one winner in each category, there were also commended businesses and individuals.
